The Bakersville Creek Walk was first established after the devastating flood of 1998. We appreciate all the volunteers and donations that made this project a reality.
The park and walk are currently under construction again due to the catastrophic flooding from Helene in September 2024. We are working with several entities including FEMA, the Army Corp of Engineers, Soil & Water, and multiple volunteer groups to rebuild our beloved park.
The Pavilion and Restrooms have been repaired and are open during the Spring, Summer, and Fall months.
The one-half-mile section of Cane Creek, classified as the Bakersville Mountain Heritage Trout Water, is a delayed-harvest trout water. Please click link to view the Cane Creek fishing map & N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission regulations .
Please call us at Town Hall (828)-688-2113 to reserve the Pavilion. Reservation are taken on a first come first serve basis. There is no charge to reserve the pavilion.
